"The Forest Keeps Its Secrets" was recorded live in 2004 when OPEN GRAVE (US/NJ) was preparing for a live ritual in Texas. This recording consisted of GOD VOMIT on vocals and guitars, and FLAKPANZER on drums. The three tracks on this rehearsal demo are extremely rough. The sound quality is decent, but the songs herein (ONLY found on this recording) were in the process of being honed. There is tape hiss, volume changes, and even an audial deletion in one song. But that is part of the charm, and the absolute, pure evil of this recording seethes and seeps from the speakers when played.

Make no mistake, this is underground black metal. We are lucky to have uncovered this recording, as the band thought it was lost forever. But, FLAKPANZER had one copy on tape deep within THE BUNKER, and it is present now, in the EXACT way it was found. Rough, putrid, and EVIL.
