Trenches understand the Darkthrone spell book. Their second album finds the band finding their own path through the graves of the 80's, channeling everything from Twisted Sister to Celtic Frost to early Mayhem. There's a touch of speed, a dash of thrash, brushes with death; yet there is a cohesiveness behind it all. Ultimately, Trenches II is bound by the Oath to the metals of Olde, smelting them down into an intoxicating brew of riffs and EVIL.
